Frog Watch USA

Become a Peabody/Beardsley FrogWatch Citizen Scientist!

Would you like to help the environment?  Do you know of a wetland near you with frogs calling?  The Yale Peabody Museum and Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo are looking for volunteers to help monitor frog populations in nearby wetlands during the spring and summer.  The time commitment is 15 minutes one or two times per week, 1/2 hour after sunset.  Older children are recommended as one half hour after sunset can be after 9 PM in the summer.  You do not have to be a frog expert as training is provided.  Training is free for Yale Peabody Museum and CT’s Beardsley Zoo members and $10 for non-member families.  There are two workshops to choose from:

Wednesday, February 17, 2016
Snow date: Friday, February 19, 2016
Yale 1954 Environmental Science Center, Room 110
7:00 – 9:00 PM

Wednesday, February 24, 2016
